Hi,
My name is Haris, I’m 24, and I’ve always tried to make the most of what life has to offer — whether it’s through reading, writing, traveling, photography, or recently, experimenting with stand-up comedy.

I was born in Kutch to a family of artisans who have practiced the traditional art of Bandhani (tie-and-dye) for 13 generations. My grandfather worked with woolen fabrics before the family gradually shifted to pure silks, keeping the craft alive across centuries. While my family continues to carry this legacy forward, I found my calling in technology — a different kind of craft that I’ve been fortunate to pursue.

I completed my bachelors in Computer Science with specialization in cloud based applications. Owing to that, I was introduced to the principles of devops and the cloud computing landscape quite early.

During my last year, I interned and then joined as a full-time software engineer at Minddeft.

Initially, my work focused on researching how to set up a Hyperledger Fabric network on a Kubernetes cluster and building a proof of concept (POC). Over the course of a year, we progressed from developing the POC using raw manifests to migrating the setup to the HLF Operator, a framework developed by the Hyperledger Foundation that improved reliability and ease of management.

I then worked on optimizing network provisioning across various environments using Ansible playbooks. During this period, I also deepened my knowledge of CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions, expanded my understanding of AWS Cloud Services, and gained hands-on experience with Terraform.

The journey has been both exciting and overwhelming. The vastness of the cloud and DevOps ecosystem can feel immense, but each challenge has uncovered new layers of learning and growth — and I’m eager to keep exploring more.

In February 2023, I earned the Terraform Associate certification, and I am now preparing for the AWS Solutions Architect certification while actively building projects to reinforce my learning. Along the way, I have also worked with Node.js, Python, Docker, and more recently, Golang.

With this blog, I aim to document my journey along the way as a fellow engineer and explorer.

I’m always looking for an opportunity to upskill and utilize my skills towards a larger impact. If you feel, I could be a good addition to your team, please connect with me on haarishkhatri@gmail.com
